
Our AFJROTC Cadets always look sharp presenting colors. Tonight they are at East High for the Are You Smarter than our 4th Graders event!


Prostart & Fire Science students were able to work with WITCC Culinary/Hospitality program (special thanks for Chef Divis, Chef Gasaway and our former students!) and the Iowa Beef Council to learn about grilling safety and the cuts of beef from our cattle farmers!





Our Cybersecurity students are hard at work today dissecting and learning about the components of computers.




Today, St. Luke's College of Nursing, Respiratory, Radiology, hosted our health science students learning more about programming and enhance their skills. We are always very grateful for our business and community partnerships, especially St. Luke's and Unity Point Hospital!

Today a few of our awesome team went to Des Moines to present on our work-based learning programming. Our coordinators and students who have had WBL experiences shared their wisdom!

We are always grateful for our friends at the Army National Guard who spent the day with our students at Hopkins discussing their post secondary options in the military using their trades skills!

Today we get to celebrate our newest Career Teacher, Mrs. Sara Koppelman! Sara is a member of our Health Occupations Pathway and just completed her second year of teaching in the SCCSD. We are so lucky to have her. Congratulations Sara!


Bailey Wilson, who works at Become Best, an ABA Clinic, decided to come back and share her professional expertise with our education students. Bailey was an education pathway student just a few years ago! Thank you, Bailey!

We are excited to host our Jr. Wolverines of Liberty Elementary for 5th on 4th! Today our students get to experience Agriculture (complete with a goat and a chicken), Health Science (including real hearts) and creating monsters in the Education pathway!

AFJROTC Misty Cadets came away from their Minnesota competition with more hardware! 3rd place overall with individual awards from Ngoc Nguyen, and 2nd place in Unarmed Regulation. Well done Misty!





This morning we celebrate Mr. Jim Martin, our Welding teacher and Career Academy Teacher of the Year! Jim has been an educator since 1988 and has touched the lives of thousands and thousands of children. Thank you for all you do, Jim!
