Sioux City, Iowa – Liberty Elementary School today announced they received a $5,000 donation from Jensen Subaru to support teachers and students through a larger Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) initiative called Subaru Loves Learning, a program to help further equity in education. Teaming up with philanthropic partner AdoptAClassroom.org, Liberty Elementary School and more than 600 schools across the country received funding to equip their classrooms with the resources necessary for students to learn and thrive in school. Nationally, this landmark partnership will benefit more than 114,000 students during the 2021/2022 school year.

As part of this initiative, which aims to help make learning accessible to as many children as possible, the Jensen Subaru donation will help support hundreds of students at Liberty Elementary School. Teachers will be able to purchase the supplies, materials and tools their students need through the national non-profit, AdoptAClassroom.org. These vital classroom resources are intended to enhance education and help Sioux City Community School District students learn and succeed in school.

Subaru is committed to supporting education and has a long history of working to enhance learning nationwide. Through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, the automaker has donated over 277,000 science books to schools since 2017.
