Career education shall be offered for District students, grades pre-kindergarten through twelve to enable students to become familiar with the values of a work-oriented society. Career education is incorporated into the total education program and includes, but is not limited to, an awareness of self in relation to others and the needs of society, exploration of employment opportunities, experiences in personal decision-making, experiences that help students connect work values and work skills into all aspects of their lives.
The Board, in its review of curriculum, shall review the integration of career education with other instructional programs to insure that it is infused into each curricular area and shall incorporate school-to-career educational programming into its comprehensive school improvement plan.
