The Superintendent or their designee shall have the discretionary authority to close schools or cancel events for extreme weather or other emergency conditions at such times and for such length of time as they deem appropriate. The Superintendent or their designee shall, whenever possible, announce such closings via the District’s alert system and website. The Superintendent or their designee may also announce such closings via the District’s social media and through news outlets.
Make-up days will be scheduled as necessary to comply with District and state attendance requirements.
